Fees
Because a relationship built on trust starts with transparency, discover our fee policy, billing arrangements and the principles that govern each of our services.
The purpose of this section is to ensure the greatest possible transparency in the relationship between the lawyer and their clients, in accordance with the regulations of the French-speaking Bar Association of Brussels of 10 February 2004 and the regulations of the French-speaking and German-speaking Bar Associations of 27 November 2004.
The way Ms Van den Bossche's fees and expenses are determined is based on transparency.
The hourly rate is determined according to the nature of the case, its level of complexity and, where applicable, its urgency. It is agreed upon with the client during the initial consultation.
Before any work begins on a new case, a fee agreement is signed with the client. It sets out, in particular, the lawyer's assignment, the hourly rate and the fees and expenses that will apply, as agreed during the initial consultation.
What do the fees cover?
Fees cover the services provided and the duties carried out by the lawyer.
They include all services such as advocacy before the courts, reviewing and handling your case, correspondence, drafting procedural documents, agreements and letters, negotiation meetings, consultations, legal research, written legal opinions and advice, as well as travel.
Telephone calls, email communications, travel time and waiting time at court hearings are also billed.
Les honoraires ne comprennent pas les frais de justice et de débours Fees do not include court costs and disbursements, which are charged separately. These include, in particular, bailiff's fees, court registry fees, administrative and civil status documents, translation costs and information requested from the National Register. These costs must be paid directly by the client and are never the responsibility of the lawyer handling the case.
