{"id":184,"date":"2016-02-10T16:50:40","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T15:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.avocat-vdb.be\/_new2015\/en\/?page_id=184"},"modified":"2017-07-11T08:45:12","modified_gmt":"2017-07-11T07:45:12","slug":"donations-gifts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.avocat-vdb.be\/en\/field-of-activities\/donations-gifts\/","title":{"rendered":"Family reunification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The law on foreigners of 15 December 1980 covers family reunification.<\/p>\n<p>The law distinguishes between a family from a Non-Member State and a European family.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the law covers four specific regimes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The foreigner whose right of residence is recognised by an international treaty: in particular family members of the foreigner where the country of origin has signed a bilateral agreement with Belgium (article 10, \u00a71, 1);<\/li>\n<li>Family members of a foreigner from an authorised Non-Member State either on indefinite leave to remain (article 10) or limited leave to remain (article 10bis);<\/li>\n<li>Family members of a European citizen who has exercised the right of freedom of movement and residence (articles 40 and 40bis);<\/li>\n<li>Family members of a Belgium (article 40ter).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The law on foreigners of 15 December 1980 covers family reunification.
